Awin MCP lets your AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, look up live Awin data and take a few allowed actions for you, using your existing Awin login.
You can use plain, everyday language to ask your questions, and you don’t need to know APIs, report names or account IDs.
What is MCP
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It’s a shared way for an AI assistant to talk to another product in a controlled way.
Think of it as a plug with two sides:
Your assistant is the app you type in, such as Claude or ChatGPT.
Awin MCP is Awin’s side of the plug: a small set of things the assistant is allowed to do on your behalf.
Without it, the assistant only knows what you paste into the chat. With it, the assistant can fetch your accounts, performance, programs and help articles from Awin, then answer in the same conversation.
Awin MCP doesn’t replace the Awin platform, and it’s not Ava, the assistant inside Awin. It’s for the times you are already working in your own assistant and want Awin answers there.
What you can ask
Once connected, you can ask things like:
See your accounts: Which of my Awin accounts can you see?
Check performance: How is my account doing this month? or Which programs should I focus on?
Understand partners and creatives: Which publishers are doing well? or How are my creatives performing?
Create tracking links (publishers): Make tracking links for these advertisers and landing pages.
Get help: How do I set up conversion tracking? (answers come from the Awin help center).
The assistant picks the right Awin capability so you don’t have to name it.
This first version covers a curated set of questions, and it’s not a copy of every screen in the Awin platform. See this article for the full list of tools available in the MCP.

Before you start
To use MCP you need:
Awin account with access to at least one advertiser or publisher account.
Access to advertiser reports requires API connection, so this is available only for customers on Accelerate or Advanced plans.
A supported assistant on a plan that allows custom connectors.
See our troubleshooting guide for more info.
How it works
Add Awin as a connector in your assistant, using the address
https://mcp.awin.com.The browser opens the Awin sign-in page. Sign in with your Awin account.
Awin gives that assistant a secure pass of its own. Your password never goes into the chat.
When you ask a question, the assistant may call Awin. Awin only returns data you can already see, with the same role you have in the platform.
After that, you can keep working in the assistant as usual, without the need to sign in again for every question.
How security is handled
You sign in to Awin, not to a new password. The assistant never sees your Awin password.
You never paste API tokens or secrets into the connector. If a setup screen asks you to, stop: that is not the Awin flow.
The assistant acts as you. An agency user sees the same accounts they already manage. A publisher doesn’t get advertiser-only reports, or the other way around. Connecting an assistant doesn’t widen anyone’s permissions.
Each assistant has its own pass. Connecting Claude doesn’t share access with ChatGPT. You can disconnect one without affecting the other.
Access can be taken back. You can remove the connector in the assistant at any time.
