Installation and configuration
Note
Current app version: compatible with Shoplazza versions up to 1.0.1.
The most efficient way to integrate Awin’s tracking with your site is to use our provided Shoplazza app, available in the Shoplazza Appstore.
After you’ve installed the app, you’ll need to set your Advertiser ID. If you’re unsure, you should have received this ID from your assigned integrator or you can find it in the platform under Program profile.
The Awin app for Shoplazza stores includes our hybrid tracking solution with its benefits. The module will trigger the tracking tags on order confirmation pages and the tracking tags will include all aspects of tracking, including the Awin MasterTag on all pages, client-side conversion tags, fallback image pixel and server-to-server tracking.
Please follow all steps below to ensure a successful tracking installation on your store:
Installation
Step one: From your Shoplazza Admin go to Apps > Apps store. Find Awin and click Add.

Step two: Click on Install app. You will be required to insert Awin Account ID in the installation process so your store will then be able to measure sales and attribute them to publishers.

Deduplication
The app utilizes the source query parameter from the landing page URL and passes this value along to the channel parameter of our tracking request for deduplication purposes.
It’s important to note that only the source query parameter will be used for deduplication, not the more commonly used utm_source parameter. You should ensure that the source parameter is correctly configured for your program. Your Awin point of contact can assist you with changes to this configuration.
To implement this on Awin’s side, a source=aw query parameter will be appended as standard with Shoplazza app setups under Default Query String Append in the Tracking Settings.
Additionally, the module creates a cookie named source to store the value of the source parameter. This value will update accordingly each time the value of this parameter changes in the URL.
Important
If you are configuring other channels, please ensure that they’re reporting to the
sourceparameter with the proper value (e.g., source=email, source=fb, source=na, etc.).
Examplewww.yourdomain.com?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&source=na
The Awin module reads the source query parameter from the landing page URL and uses its value for last-click attribution. In this example, the value na indicates that the last click originated from a non-Awin channel. Where a transaction is attributed to a non-Awin channel, no Awin commission is awarded, regardless of whether an Awin affiliate click was previously recorded.
The presence of the source query parameter typically does not impact reporting in analytics platforms such as Google Analytics or other reporting tools. In most cases, traffic source reporting is based on standard UTM parameters (for example,utm_source,utm_medium, andutm_campaign), whereas the source parameter is used specifically for attribution purposes within the Awin deduplication process.
Product-level tracking
Product-level tracking (PLT) information is sent via the app’s tracking tags and follows the default format of an Awin PLT dataset:
AW:P|{{advertiserId}}|{{orderReference}}|{{productId}}|{{productName}}|{{productItemPrice}}|{{productQuantity}}|{{productSku}}|{{commissionGroupCode}}|{{productCategory}}Consent
Usage of Awin consent signals is one of the six core elements of Awin’s Tracking Policy. The Shoplazza app doesn’t currently support native consent handling using Awin consent signals.
The preferred method of consent handling is an advertiser-led decision, but we strongly recommend using Awin consent signals. You can find more information here.
Product feed
Under the Awin app settings in Shoplazza, you can generate a product feed by simply clicking on Generate url. After generating your product feed click, a link will appear to copy. The product feed is generated in .csv format and will include all necessary info from all products in your Shoplazza store. The link to the feed can be used to import into your Awin profile.
A product feed provides publishers with details of the products you sell, how much they cost and various other product details that are relevant to your business (for example a fashion advertiser may include colors and sizes).
Product feeds allow publishers to quickly find and share links with their users without having to manually create their own deep links each time they’d like to share one of your products. Please also find more information in our product feeds guide.
