When you receive your Awin invoice, it’s helpful to know what each section means and why you’re being charged. Here’s a simple breakdown of what you’ll see on your invoice and how to check the details.
What’s on your invoice?
A typical Awin invoice includes these sections:
Validated Commissions (DD–DD Month/Year): This is the total amount of commissions that have been approved for your account during the invoice period.
Network Fee / Tracking Fee (DD–DD Month/Year): This is Awin’s fee, calculated as a percentage of your commissions or sales. The exact percentage is specified in your Advertiser Contract or Agreement.
Monthly Platform Offer Fee (Month/Year): This is a fixed monthly fee paid to Awin. If you get two invoices per month, this fee only appears on the second invoice.
Net: The sum of your Validated Commissions and the Network/Tracking Fee.
VAT: Value Added Tax (VAT) is added at 20% of the Net amount.
Total Payable: This is the final amount you need to pay (Net + VAT).
How to match your invoice with your transactions
Sometimes, your invoice totals might not match what you see in your program’s reports. It’s because Awin only charges for approved transactions within the invoice period.
You can use the Transactions Report in the Awin platform to see exactly what’s been charged and double-check the validated commissions.
Follow these steps to create a report that matches your invoice totals:
Go to Reports > Transactions in the platform.
Set the date range to match your invoice period (e.g., 1–15 of the month).
For the Based On filter, choose Validation Date.
Set the Transaction Status filter to Approved. This will show all approved partner commissions included in your invoice, plus the network fee per transaction.
Click Generate Report.
Review or download your report:
Scroll to the bottom to see the Grand Totals.
To export, click Options and choose Export as CSV or Export for Excel.
By following these steps, you can easily reconcile your invoice with the approved transactions for that period.
FAQ
Why are my network fees different from my contract agreement?
There may be some instances when the network fee applied to a sale is different from agreed amount in your contract. This will only happen during the transition from an advertiser on an older contract to an Awin platform offer e.g., Awin Access, Awin Accelerate or Awin Advanced.
Sales made whilst on the old contract will still have the older network fees associated with them, whilst any sale made after the signing of the new contract will have the new network fees.
If you are seeing a discrepancy in your network fees outside of the example described above, please contact us to resolve it. If you have a dedicated Awin contact, please reach out to them. If not, you can get in touch with our support team by filling out the contact form.
