Account Overview

Prev Next

The Account Overview is a section to hold essential information about your business and what partners can expect when joining your affiliate program. It’s the main page where partners can retrieve all details needed to decide whether your brand is suitable for them before applying to join.

To access the Account Overview navigate to Account > Profile > Overview.

You are asked to complete your overview as part of your program setup and before going live. This article will help you navigate the Account Overview afterwards and provide optimization suggestions if you ever want to change the details.

Where can I find my profile picture

On the left is your Profile Picture. This should be a nice clear image of your logo rather than a stock image of products or anything else. Having your brand’s logo means partners can recognize your brand and website to help them advertise accurately.

Where can I find my program name and advertiser ID

Underneath your logo, you can find your Program Name and Advertiser ID number (which is unique to your program). You may need this in the future when contacting support. It’s important to note where this is located.

What is the overview tab

The Overview tab provides your partners with an outline of your affiliate program, your brand and what they can expect from partnering with you. It’s best to make this section clear and easy to read.

Here are some examples of what we advise you should include:

  • Start with a friendly introduction line, e.g., Welcome to the xxx Affiliate Program.

  • Include your aims and goals for the program.

  • Brand description: can include mantras, company ethics and morals, or branding quote.

  • Consumer insights: details of your target market demographics.

  • Bullet points of reasons as to why partners should join your program: e.g., AOV, commission structure (are you offering a high amount in comparison to your competitors?), cookie period, advanced payments, bonus or extra opportunities.

  • Include whether they can find any branding documents within the Document tab.

  • Whether there are specific partner types you are looking to work with.

What should I include in the summary box

To the side of your profile, there is also a Summary box. This is where you can input a condensed version of the Overview tab. If you have an About Us page on your website, it might be useful to relay some of the text here.

Under Summary, partners will also see top line details of your program, such as Payment Status, Average Payment Time, Launch Date, Cookie Length, and Auto Validation Period. Plus, information on the product feeds you may have uploaded.

Most of the data points are fixed or are generated by your program’s setup and performance.

Where can I find the account contacts

Underneath Overview, you will see Account Contacts. Listed here are the users who have access to your account. If you need to add more users, simply click on Account and Invite User. You can add as many users as needed to your account completely free of charge.

Note

It’s important to keep this section updated so partners have your correct contact details. Setting up a specific email address may help with managing this more efficiently, for example affiliates@brandname.com.

What should be included in the Links section

To the left-hand side, you will see the Links section. This should be a place that holds all relevant links for your website, social media platforms, and anything else you may feel is important to include.

What should I include in the Contact section

If you scroll down, you will also see the Contact section. Here you need to make sure to include the name, contact number and email address of the main point of contact on your program.

Remember to update this section if your main point of contact changes. If not, this may influence your program’s success because this will be where partners will go if they need to contact you about your program.

What type of files should I include in the Documents tab

Here you can upload documents and files to be displayed on your profile page. These might include a program welcome pack, customer demographics/statistics, product overviews, or brand presentations.

We don’t recommend uploading logos or promotional banners here as partners will automatically head to the My Creative tab to find those.

What is the Terms tab

The Terms tab allows you to clearly define the Terms and Conditions for your affiliate program. It promotes greater transparency to the platform and partners alike. You would have pre-configured these when setting up your program.

Important

If any changes are made to the terms after going live, please notify partners via the Communication Center with at least 7 days’ notice before the changes come into effect.

What information can I find in the Performance tab

Once your program has been live for 3 months the platform will calculate your Awin Index Score. The higher the score, the more optimized your program is which makes you more attractive to potential partners.

What should I add in the Commission tab

Within the Commission tab you can add general notes about your commission. This tab is not mandatory, but if you have a complex commission structure it may be helpful to add more detail here.
