New Awin and Awin Classic: what you need to know

Prev Next

As an advertiser you now have access to two versions of our platform - Awin Classic and the new Awin. This article explains the set-up, why there are two platforms, and how to navigate them.

What’s happening?

We’re building a brand new Awin - and we’re excited for you to be part of it. The new platform has been designed from the ground up to be faster, more intuitive, and focused on what advertisers really need.

To make the transition smooth, both platforms will run side by side. This means you’ll have access to Awin Classic and the new Awin at the same time, while we carefully and gradually bring features across.

Note

You don’t need to do anything differently to access both platforms. You only need to sign in once, and can easily switch between the two.

Which features are available where?

As we continue building the new Awin, features are being added on a rolling basis. The list below shows what’s currently available in the new Awin platform.

We’ll keep this page up to date as more features move across.

Features available only in Awin Classic

For any tasks and activities that aren’t listed above, please use Awin Classic.

These include:

  • Creating tracking links

  • Setting up commissions

  • Communicating with partners

  • Creating promotional materials (creatives)

  • Uploading product feeds

Why are we doing this?

We want to give you a better experience, and that takes time to do properly.

Rather than switching everything over at once, we’re rebuilding features thoughtfully - taking the opportunity to improve them based on feedback from advertisers like you. That means some things will look and work differently in the new Awin.

The end goal is a single, unified platform that’s more powerful, easier to use, and built around how you actually work.

What should I use day-to-day right now?

Our recommendation is straightforward: use the new Awin wherever you can, and head back to Awin Classic for anything that hasn’t moved across yet.

  • New Awin: Use this for any features already available (see the list above).

  • Awin Classic: Use this for features not yet in the new Awin.

Awin Classic will remain available throughout this transition period, and we’ll give you plenty of notice before anything changes.

How to switch between platforms

Switching between Awin Classic and the new Awin is quick and easy - there’s no need to log out or use a different web address.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Sign in to your Awin account as usual.

  2. New Awin platform will open as a default view.

  3. In the left navigation click Switch to Awin Classic to change platforms.

  4. To go back, click the purple Try the new Awin banner at the top of the screen.

  5. Your session carries over automatically - no need to re-enter your credentials.

Your data is exactly the same in both platforms, so you can switch back and forth at any time without losing anything.

FAQ

Will I lose access to Awin Classic?

Not anytime soon. Awin Classic is fully supported and will remain available while the transition is underway. When the time comes to retire it, we’ll give you plenty of advance notice and make sure you’re fully set up on the new Awin first.

Is my data the same in both platforms?

Yes - both platforms draw from the same underlying data, so your campaigns, reports, and account information are always consistent, whichever platform you’re using.

Can I set Awin Classic as a default view?

Yes, you can. If you prefer to have Awin Classic as your default view after signing in, you need to adjust the settings. Click the profile icon in the top right corner and switch off the toggle Always open the new Awin when I sign in.

You can switch it back on at any time.

A feature I use regularly isn’t in the new Awin yet. What should I do?

Just use Awin Classic for that feature in the meantime - that’s exactly what it’s there for. Keep an eye on this article and our release notes for updates on when new features land.

Something looks different to what I’m used to. Is that normal?

It might be! Most features have been redesigned in the new Awin, not just moved across. If something isn’t where you’d expect it, check our help articles for the new Awin or get in touch with our support team - we’re happy to help.

How will I know when new features are added to the new Awin?

We’ll update this article regularly and share updates in our release notes.
