To use technology plugins, you must have integrated with an Awin e-commerce plugin or have the Advertiser MasterTag installed on every page of your website.
What are technology partners
Technology partners provide powerful add-ons tools that run through the Advertiser (and Publisher) MasterTag. Because they sit within the Awin MasterTag, they require no technical integration from your team.
These partners typically support onsite activity and work toward goals such as stronger conversion journeys or higher order values.
Key things to know
No integration work is needed if you already use the Advertiser MasterTag. Awin manages this for you.
Most onsite partners use a soft click cookie, meaning they won’t override tracking from existing traffic-driving partners.
No development resources are required for ongoing optimization.
Partners usually track on standard CPA / CPC / CPL models, but fixed fee or hybrid models are also possible.
All technology partners are GDPR compliant and vetted by Awin’s Information and Security Team.
Where to find MasterTag plugins
You can view all available plugins in Toolbox > Links & Tools > Plugin Store.
You can also search by plugin name or category, or filter by goals such as conversion rate, new customers or order value. This helps you identify which partner solutions best support your strategy.
Note
Some plugins have minimum requirements. Not all advertisers will meet these.

Options to disable or delete active plugins

You’ll only see plugins available as part of your plan.
How to activate plugins
When you find a plugin you want to use, you’ll see one of two options:
Activate now: Use one-click activation to automatically deploy the partner’s script. This notifies the partner so they can follow up with next steps.
Enquire: If the plugin shows an Enquire button, submit the short form to express interest. An Awin team member will follow up with details, marketing material and partner contact information. Direct introductions can also be arranged.
What happens after an enquiry
You’ll speak with the partner about how the solution works, any implementation details and commercial terms.
Once everything is agreed, you’re ready to activate the plugin. There are two activation routes:
Method 1: Plugin activation request
Raise a plugin activation request to the Awin Technical Solutions Team.
You must provide the following information:
Your program account name and ID.
The plugin token (provided by the partner).
The name of the plugin partner.
Method 2: Partner submits the request for you
The partner can raise the activation request if they have your written consent or signed agreement. They will include your advertiser name, AID and plugin token.
After activation, the Awin Technical Solutions Team will confirm that the plugin is live on your website. Once confirmed, let the partner know and begin using their solution.

Do I need development resources to use technology partners?
No. If you already use the Advertiser MasterTag or an Awin e-commerce plugin, no extra development work is required. Awin manages the technical setup.
Why can’t I see all plugins in the Plugin Store?
The Plugin Store shows only the plugins available on your plan. Some partners also have minimum requirements that not all advertisers meet.
Can I choose how partners are paid?
Yes. Most work on standard CPA / CPC / CPL models, but fixed-fee or hybrid models can also be agreed directly with the partner.
Will technology plugins overwrite tracking from my existing partners?
Most onsite partners use a soft cookie. This prevents them from overriding tracking where another partner’s cookie already exists.
Are all technology partners GDPR compliant?
Yes. All partners available in the Plugin Store are reviewed and approved by Awin’s Information and Security Team before being listed.
Do I need to speak with the partner before activation?
Yes, for enquiry-based plugins. You’ll agree on commercial terms and the setup before Awin activates the plugin for you
How will I know when a plugin is live?
You’ll receive confirmation from the Awin Technical Solutions Team once the plugin has been configured and deployed on your website.
How to deactivate a plugin?
Navigate to Toolbox > Links & Tools > Plugin Store. Here you can deactivate or delete plugins you no longer need. Be sure you communicate this to the plugin partner and agree the termination.
