# GDPR at Awin

Awin is fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

As a European company that works with personal data every day, GDPR compliance is a core part of how we operate. We’ve put strong security measures in place and continuously monitor legal updates to ensure we stay compliant.

## What legal basis does Awin use?

Awin processes data based on legitimate interest, as outlined in [Article 6(1)(f) of GDPR.](https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/HTML/?uri=CELEX:32016R0679)

The data we use for tracking is:

- Pseudonymous
- Non-sensitive
- Mostly technical
- Not linked to personal behavior, opinions, or consumer profiles

For example, a tracking cookie may collect the following pieces of data:

- Cookie date
- Expiry date of cookie
- IP address (truncated)
- IP hash
- GeoIP
- Advertiser ID
- Publisher ID
- Banner ID
- Group ID
- Product ID
- Click/network reference
- Referrer
- Overwritten publisher ID
- Platform
