      1. Search for your order reference.

      2. Check the Tracking Diagnosis tool for issues. In the platform navigate to Support > Integration > Tracking Diagnosis.

      Important

While testing, you may briefly see duplicate transactions as both ShareASale and Awin tracking run simultaneously. This is a normal part of the transition and will automatically resolve once ShareASale is fully removed. You can simply reject these transactions under Commission > Validate > Validate Pending Transactions.

Completing the upgrade: uninstalling ShareASale’s Shopify App

Once you have successfully set up tracking with Awin’s Shopify app, you must remove the ShareASale app to prevent conflicts.

  1. Go to Shopify Admin > Apps.

  2. Find ShareASale Shopify App and click Uninstall.

If your store used an older tracking setup (manually installed tracking), additional steps are required to remove legacy tracking code and prevent conflicts.

  1. Remove ShareASale tracking from checkout scripts.

    1. Open your Shopify Admin and go to Settings (bottom left corner).

    2. Click Checkout from the settings menu.

    3. Scroll down to Order status page.

    4. In the Additional Scripts field, remove any ShareASale tracking code.

  2. Remove ShareASale custom pixels from Shopify.

If you added ShareASale-related custom pixels in Shopify’s event tracking, follow these steps to remove them:

    1. From your Shopify Admin, go to Settings > Customer events.

    2. Click Custom pixels.

    3. Find the ShareASale related pixel and click the ... (three-dot menu) next to it.

    4. Click Delete, and confirm by clicking Delete again in the dialog.

Removing old ShareASale pixels ensures that your tracking remains accurate and prevents conflicts with Awin’s tracking.

After tracking is active, you can enable additional features for enhanced automation.

  1. Access the Features tab.

    1. Open Awin Shopify App in Shopify Admin.

No further setup is needed - your data feed is automatically generated and sent to Awin’s platform.

Note that your new feed will not be visible under Toolbox > Links & Tools > My Product Feeds on the Awin platform, but partners will be able to find and start using it.

Notify partners and remove old feed

To ensure a smooth transition, update your partners on the new Awin product feed and remove any outdated feeds from your account. Using the latest product feed ensures accurate product listings, preventing outdated pricing, availability mismatches, or missing items.
